Project description
Webshop platform migration from WooCommerce to PrestaShop. The client had an outdated WooCommerce multi-store and wanted to convert it to a modern, stable platform with better performance. Naturally, the goal was to implement as much of the original shop’s functionality as possible in PrestaShop.

Project Requirements
- Development of a new custom PrestaShop theme.
- Full data migration of products, customers, and orders.
- Ability to sell products by length (for fabric products) or per item.
- Correct display of product type and ordered quantity in:
- Webshop administration
- Order overview
- Orders
- Stock management
- Order confirmations
- Invoices and other customer communications
- Webshop administration
- Multiple options to link products as “related products.”
- Improved performance and stability compared to the old environment.
My Role
- Complete setup and configuration of the PrestaShop multi-store environment.
- Implementation of the provided design in a custom PrestaShop theme.
- Execution of the full data migration (products, customers, orders).
- Development of a custom module to support selling products by length in addition to per-item sales.
- Customization of the required templates to correctly display product type and ordered quantities.
- Development of custom modules for linking related products.
- Training and guidance of the client in using the new system.

Result
The project resulted in a faster, more stable, and future-proof webshop that fully aligns with the client’s way of working. The new PrestaShop environment offers better performance, a clearer structure, increased stability, and greater flexibility for new functionalities.
The client now has a scalable webshop that is easier to manage and allows room for further growth, and was very satisfied with both the technical outcome and the smooth transition to the new system.
